Job summary

Canberra Medicare Mental Health Centre is seeking a Social and Emotional Wellbeing Worker (SEWB) to support Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander adults across Canberra and Tuggeranong. You will provide culturally safe psychosocial support, care coordination and advocacy within a multidisciplinary team.

In this fixed-term 12-month contract, you will engage with communities, coordinate referrals and contribute to program development and quality improvement, aligning with TMH values and service

Qualifications

• Identification as an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander person with strong connection to culture.
• Experience supporting Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander peoples in health or psychosocial settings.
• Knowledge of local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community services.

Responsibilities

• Provide culturally safe support, information and advice to consumers and families.
• Engage with consumers using strengths-based approaches.
• Deliver psychosocial support, care coordination and advocacy.
