Job summary

Pathway Talent is recruiting an Aboriginal Community Support Worker for the CLS program in Hurstville. You will provide culturally safe, lived-experience-informed support to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people with mental health challenges, guided by connection to culture, country and community.

Your role focuses on recovery, empowerment and resilience, walking alongside clients to strengthen identity and social supports.

Qualifications

• Certificate IV in Mental Health or Peer Work (or relevant industry experience).
• Lived experience as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander person, with strong cultural knowledge.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, especially with diverse community groups.

Responsibilities

• Deliver culturally safe, recovery-oriented peer support aligned with the CLS model.
• Use lived experience to support healing, wellbeing, and resilience.
• Assist with daily living, emotional regulation, and social connection.
• Maintain an active caseload and meet support delivery targets.
• Support connection to Country, culture, and community.
