Job summary

Uniting NSW.ACT is seeking a First Nations Mental Health Support Worker to join the Community Living Supports (CLS) team in Hunter Valley on a part-time, max-term basis until 30 October 2027. You will work four days per week across Monday to Friday, delivering individualized psychosocial support in home and community settings.

You will build relationships with First Nations individuals, families and communities, supporting recovery goals and connecting people with culturally safe health services

Qualifications

• Strong communication, relationship-building and collaboration skills.
• Experience in mental health support and psychosocial care.
• Certificate IV in Community Services, Mental Health, Peer Work or equivalent qualification.

Responsibilities

• Provide person-centred, psychosocial support to adults with mental health challenges.
• Develop and monitor individualized recovery plans with consumers, carers and clinicians.
• Build connections with First Nations communities and local services to support culturally safe care.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation in line with organisational requirements.
