Job summary

Aboriginal Housing Victoria (AHV) invites applications for a Housing Officer based in Fitzroy North, Melbourne. The role focuses on establishing sustainable tenancies and providing property management for AHV’s Aboriginal client base, with travel across the south-eastern metropolitan region.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of tenancy and property management requirements under relevant legislation
• Ability to work autonomously and take personal responsibility for tasks
• Experience with clients who have complex needs and conflict management skills
• Ability to collaborate with AHV colleagues, external services and government organisations

Responsibilities

• Establish sustainable tenancies with AHV’s client base.
• Undertake property management duties for a diverse client group.
• Build relationships with support services in the region to assist clients.
• Travel to the south-eastern metropolitan region as required.
