Aboriginal Housing Victoria is seeking a Housing Officer based in Fitzroy North, Melbourne, to establish sustainable tenancies and manage properties for AHV’s client base. You will collaborate with support services in the region to assist clients and contribute to community capacity building.

The successful candidate will bring client-centred focus within a legislative framework and excellent time management to handle a demanding workload. Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander candidates only.

Qualifications

• Awareness and appreciation of Aboriginal cultures and the issues affecting Aboriginal people in contemporary Australia.
• Knowledge of tenancy and property management requirements including relevant legislation.
• Demonstrated capacity to work autonomously and take personal responsibility for tasks.
• Experience working with clients with complex needs and ability to manage conflict.
• Ability to collaborate with AHV colleagues, external services and government bodies.
• Ability to monitor data integrity and maintain accurate records.
• Strong attention to detail and time management to prioritise workload.
• Proven experience with Microsoft Office and ability to learn new software.
