Victorian Aboriginal Child Care Agency (VACCA) in Dandenong, VIC invites applications for an intake and assessment role within The Orange Door Hub. You will provide a welcoming first response for Aboriginal women, children, men and families seeking safety, support and connection, undertaking intake, assessment and short term case management to connect clients with essential services.

You will work with a multidisciplinary team to support Aboriginal families toward safety, healing and wellbeing,

Qualifications

• Degree in social work or willingness to work toward the qualification.
• Minimum two years’ experience in Family Violence sector.
• Valid Police Check and Working with Children Check for a paid employee.
• Current Victorian Driver Licence.
• COVID-19 vaccination (Strongly Recommended)

Responsibilities

• Undertake intake and assessment.
• Respond to immediate needs.
• Provide short term support.
• Help connect families with services.
• Maintain accurate case notes and client records.
