Next Generation Electrical is seeking an experienced Electrician for work on renewable energy projects in the Melbourne area. The role involves installation, maintenance and repair of electrical infrastructure across rooftop solar, microgrids and energy storage systems, with coordination with project managers and field staff.

The ideal candidate has a proactive attitude, strong problem-solving skills and a track record in electrical construction, with emphasis on safety and quality.

Qualificações

• 3 years of working experience in electrician / construction industry (energy/renewables preferred).
• Knowledge of electrical codes and international design standards.
• Experience with electrical infrastructure, embedded networks, energy efficiency, solar PV including ground mount systems and batteries.
• Demonstrated leadership experience.
• Strong communication with internal and external stakeholders.

The Role

The Electrician will be primarily working on electrical, energy, civil and renewable projects, including the installation, maintenance and repair of electrical infrastructure. The Electrician will work closely with the Project Manager and Field Staff on the delivery of projects, as well as ongoing maintenance activities to ensure the reliability, safety and performance of electrical assets.

• Participating in field activities relating to the installation, maintenance, inspection and repair of electrical infrastructure;
• Deliverpreventive and reactive maintenance activities;
• Diagnosing and fault-finding electrical issues, conducting repairs and responding to equipment breakdowns;
• Management of projects within or below budget, including cost of labour and materials;
• Liaising with client,siteand vendors on aspects of the design and construction;
• Subcontractor managementandquality control;
• Run pre-start andtoolboxmeetings for staff on site;
• Ensure compliance with all applicable health,safetyand environmental legislation

Skills & Experience

The role will ideally suit an experienced Electrician with a positive can-do attitude. The successful candidate will be able to problem solve, have a proactive work ethic coupled with the following qualifications, experience and attributes:

• 3 years of working experience in electrician / construction industry (energy/renewables preferred)
• Wide knowledge of relevant regulations and standards (electrical codes, international design standards)
• Experience within electrical infrastructure and services, embedded network, energy efficiency, solar PV, including ground mount systems and batteries (preferred)
• Demonstrated leadership experience
• Communication skills to liaise with internal and external stakeholders
