Job summary

Torra Staffing and Recruitment – Newcastle NSW is seeking an experienced Electrical Supervisor / Lead Electrician to take ownership of premium solar, battery and EV charging projects across the Hunter region. You’ll lead teams on residential and commercial installs, mentor apprentices, and ensure work is completed safely and to a high standard.

Qualifications

• Current NSW Electrical Licence required.
• Experience leading teams on electrical projects.
• Strong knowledge of solar, battery or renewable energy systems.
• SAA Accreditation is a plus.
• Experience commissioning and fault-finding electrical systems.
• Excellent communication and customer-facing skills.
• Commitment to safety, quality and continuous improvement.
• Valid Driver's Licence.

Responsibilities

• Supervise electrical and installation teams across multiple projects.
• Lead the delivery of solar PV, battery storage and EV charging installations.
• Ensure compliance with Australian Standards and regulations.
• Conduct site inspections, commissioning and QA checks.
• Troubleshoot technical issues and provide on-site support.
• Coordinate materials, equipment and scheduling requirements.
• Mentor apprentices and junior team members.
• Build positive relationships with customers and stakeholders.

We're partnering with a progressive electrical and renewable energy company experiencing strong growth across the Hunter region. With an outstanding reputation for quality workmanship and customer service, they're looking for an experienced Electrical Supervisor / Lead Electrician to take ownership of projects, mentor installers and help drive operational excellence.

This is more than a toolbox role. You'll be the go-to person on site, leading teams, ensuring work is completed safely and to a high standard, and providing technical guidance across a range of renewable energy projects.

The Role

Reporting directly into the leadership team, you'll be responsible for:

• Supervising electrical and installation teams across multiple projects
• Leading the delivery of solar PV, battery storage and EV charging installations
• Ensuring compliance with Australian Standards and industry regulations
• Conducting site inspections, commissioning and quality assurance checks
• Troubleshooting technical issues and providing onsite support
• Coordinating materials, equipment and scheduling requirements
• Mentoring apprentices and junior team members
• Building positive relationships with customers and stakeholders

What We're Looking For
