Solarig is seeking a reliable Electrical Tradesperson to join our NSW-based solar farm operations. The full-time role involves electrical and communications maintenance, with a safety-first environment and clear career growth.

You will operate across the Gulgong region, enjoy a Monday–Friday or 8-on/6-off roster, and receive a work vehicle, phone, laptop, and tools. The company offers competitive pay, long-term security, and development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Must hold an unrestricted NSW electrical license and WHS/Construction card.
• HV switching qualification desirable.
• LV rescue and CPR training beneficial.
• Driver’s license required.
• Commitment to safety and compliance with WHS regulations.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical and communications interventions and preventive activities.
• Supervise and coordinate maintenance tasks; oversee plant operation.
• Complete work orders and reporting; use CMMS.
• Ensure compliance with WHS and environmental policies.
• Carry out environmental works and incident reporting.
• Schedule and perform maintenance; participate in on-call roster.

About the Role

As Electrician will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of our solar farms. This full-time role offers the chance to work in a collaborative, safety-focused environment, with excellent career growth potential in the rapidly expanding solar industry.

• Location: Gulgong region (NSW)

• Roster: Monday to Friday or 8 days on; 6 days off (Wednesday to Wednesday)

Key Responsibilities

Perform any electrical and communications intervention and/or corrective action and advance preventive activities

• Supervision, planning and coordination of the maintenance tasks

• Supervision of the operation of the plant

• work requests completion and reporting

• Comply and adhere to all work, health, safety and environmental policies and procedures

• Environmental works

• report any incident

• Responsible for carrying out electrical and communication works

• Cleaning and inspection of the asset and infrastructures

• Utilize CMMS and manage, complete work orders

• Responsible for the scheduled maintenance

• Any reasonably practicable requests made by the management to carry out tasks.

• Participate On-call roster

What We’re Looking For

We’re seeking a reliable, safety-focused Electrical Tradesperson who can take initiative and work both independently and as part of a team. You should have:

• Unrestricted Class Electrical License (NSW) (Required)

• High Voltage Switching Qualification (High desirable)

• Work safely in the construction industry Card (Required)

• Cert. IV Work Healt & Safety (High desirable)

• Low Voltage Rescue Training

• CPR Training

• A valid Driver’s License

Additionally, you must be:

• Committed to safety and compliance with all WH&S regulations

• Proactive with a strong work ethic and excellent time management skills

• A team player with strong communication skills and a can-do attitude
