Job summary

TeamKids is seeking a Casual Educator to support Outside School Hours Care programs in Queanbeyan East. You’ll work with a friendly team, delivering engaging activities and supervising children before and after school, with options to extend into school holidays.

No two days are the same: gain experience in OSHC, on-the-job coaching, and access in-house training. Flexibility with shifts, and opportunities to progress within TeamKids are available.

• Passionate about working with children and helping them thrive.
• Experience in Before and After School Care is helpful but not required.

Responsibilities

The Role - Casual Educator

This is a rolewhere no two days are the same! Work closely with a supportive team to gain valuable experience in the OSHC space and make a real difference in children's lives.

Location: Queanbeyan East

Shifts available

• 7:00am–9:00am (Before School Care)
• 2:30pm–6:30pm (After School Care)
• Optional 6–8 hour shifts during school holidays

About You

• Ideally has previous experience working in Before and After School Care or education, but this is by no means essential - we can help you grow your skills!
• Passionate working with children and seeing them thrive
• Is involved, fun, a team player and ready to jump in
• Confident communicator with children, parents and colleagues

You’ll need (or be willing to get):

• Working with Children Check that is relevant to your state (WWCC,WWVP, Blue card, VIT)
• Preferably has a Cert III or Diploma in an ACECQA approved course (or be working towards it) - Visit acecqa.gov.au to learn more about approved qualifications
• As part of TeamKids’ commitment to child safety, all successful candidates are required to complete mandatory National Child Safety Training through Geccko prior to commencing employment with TeamKids.
