Transdev Sydney Ferries invites applications for a Maritime Traineeship in Sydney. This 12‑month program combines on‑ and off‑the‑job training to gain nationally recognised maritime qualifications.

You will attend TAFE or equivalent to obtain Cert I and II in Maritime Operations, and rotate through ferry operations, navigation, maintenance and customer service. The traineeship involves a rotating roster, including overnight shifts, with a remuneration package of $973 per week plus super and

Qualifications

• Completed Year 10 or above and at least 18 years old.
• Demonstrated ability to swim 50 metres with evidence from a pool letterhead.
• Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident.
• Enthusiastic and eager to learn on the job.
• Able to work in a team and rotate rosters including weekends.

Responsabilités

• Undergo on- and off-the-job maritime training during the 12‑month Traineeship.
• Engage in daily operation, navigation, cleaning, security and maintenance of ferries and wharves.
• Work a rotating roster, including potential overnight shifts.

Formation

Certificate I in Maritime Operations (General Purpose Hand Near Coastal)

Certificate II in Maritime Operations (Coxswain Grade 1 Near Coastal)
