VASCage GmbH is a research centre focusing on clinical stroke research. The Technician collaborates with Oroboros Instruments GmbH on diagnostic service development and quality management for high-resolution respirometry.

The role includes analytical measurements on biological samples, cell culture and buffer/media preparation, plus inventory management, with a starting salary of 2.650 EUR gross/month for 38h/week, until 31.03.2028.

Technician (30 – 38 h/week) – fixed-term employment until 31.03.2028

VASCage GmbH is a research centre with a focus on clinical stroke research. With a strong team of internationally recognised experts, we develop new strategies and products for prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation of stroke. Our project „Functional Mitochondrial Diagnostics“ aims to develop protocols and quality management for high-resolution respirometry measurements as a diagnostic service. In your role as Technician, you will collaborate closely with Oroboros Instruments GmbH.

Responsibilities:

• Analytical measurements on biological samples: Cell count, protein content, spectrophotometric determination of enzyme activities
• Cell culture and sample preparation, production of buffers, chemicals and media
  Quality Control of instruments
• Ordering and inventory maintenance
• Maintaining equipment records and work logs

Requirements:

• Completed training as lab technician, or, alternatively, completed a university degree in biological sciences or related fields with lab experience
• Open-minded, creative and motivated personality with a proactive approach
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Self-reliant & attention to detail and careful working method
• Excellent interpersonal skills & teamwork
• Excellent written and spoken German and English skills
