The UN Secretariat at UN Vienna seeks an Accounting Assistant (Treasury) to support the Treasury’s financial operations, reconciling transactions and managing banking details in the ERP system. The role covers multi-currency bank reconciliations, statement review, and reporting support.

Required is a high school diploma with at least three years’ accounting/finance experience (one year if you hold a first-level university degree).

Qualifikationen

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant accounting/finance experience; 1 year if candidate holds a first-level university degree or higher.
• Experience with ERP applications such as SAP is desirable.

Aufgaben

• Reconcile accounting transactions and maintain banking details in the UN ERP system.
• Reconcile bank accounts in multiple currencies and review bank statements for accuracy.
• Identify discrepancies and escalate to senior staff.
• Monitor open item payments and assist in preparing documentation for distribution.
• Respond to staff and third-party queries; support data collection and analysis for reports.
• Create visualizations and update information materials as needed.
