Job summary

Infineon Technologies AG in Austria seeks a Staff Engineer for Technology Development in Power MOSFET design with a focus on Ion Trap Systems. You will design masks and layouts for silicon power MOSFETs, develop verification tools, and coordinate with Mask House, Process Design Kit, and product teams to drive innovative device concepts.

The role requires strong semiconductor knowledge, CMOS/vertical MOS experience, Python/SKILL scripting, Cadence proficiency, and fluency in English and German.

Qualifications

• A higher technical school (HTL) or university degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics or Computer Science.
• Solid knowledge of semiconductor process technology, semiconductor physics and MOSFET electrical behavior.
• Experience in planar CMOS design and/or vertical MOS design.
• Knowledge of design-to-reticle flow.
• Programming skills with Python or SKILL; Unix familiarity.
• Experience with power MOSFET/analog/mixed-signal layout using Cadence.
• Familiarity with electrical characterization techniques, including prober stations.
• Fluency in English and German.

Responsibilities

• Design masks and layouts for silicon power MOSFETs balancing process sequences and electrical targets.
• Define and enhance the design environment with libraries, rules and verification scripts.
• Interface between customer and Mask House.
• Develop electrical characterization structures, test programs and methods.
• Contribute to design rules manual with multiple teams.
• Support Process Design Kit and Product Layout teams after releases.
• Provide physical design expertise for changes throughout the product lifecycle.
