Infineon Technologies AG in Austria seeks a Senior Staff Engineer to drive development of advanced SiC and Si technologies. You will shape electro-mobility by defining technical directions, leading device architecture, and driving innovation across Infineon sites.

You will derive specifications, verify layouts, plan experiments with DOE methods, and translate results into actionable insights while mentoring engineers and aligning with Automotive divisions to meet project goals.

Qualifikationen

• Degree in Physics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field; a PhD is highly desirable
• 5+ years of relevant professional experience in the semiconductor industry, ideally in chip technology development
• Solid technical understanding of power electronic device physics, wafer technology development and semiconductor processing
• Proactive and solution-oriented mindset with excellent communication, moderation, and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to analyze, structure, and simplify complex technical challenges
• Excellent English language skills; German is an advantage

Your role

You will be part of a team of technical experts driving the development of advanced SiC and Si technologies across various Infineon sites. In this role, you will shape the future of electro-mobility by defining technical directions and driving innovation for next-generation automotive power SiC MOSFET technologies, with a strong focus on device architecture and technology concepts.

Key responsibilities in your new role

Offer

We offer competitive salaries and additional benefits based on your performance, experience and qualification. The employment is in accordance with the collective salary and wage agreement for employees of the electrical and electronics industry, employment group H ( https://www.feei.at/leistungen/informations-service/mindestlohne-und-gehalter ). The monthly salary is paid 14 times p.a. We offer a higher compensation depending on your expertise and skills.
