Anton Paar sucht einen Senior Software Developer & Software Architect (m/w/x) in Graz, der die Softwarearchitektur unserer X-ray-Diffraction-Lösungen gestaltet und aktiv an deren Entwicklung mitwirkt. Sie schaffen die technologische Grundlage für präzise Messungen und materialanalytische Anwendungen.

Sie arbeiten eng mit interdisziplinären Entwicklungsteams zusammen, implementieren Schlüsselfunktionen selbst und prägen die technologische Evolution des Produkts.

Qualifikationen

• Universitätsabschluss in Informatik/Softwaretechnik.
• Mehrjährige Berufserfahrung in Softwareentwicklung, Design oder Architektur.
• Fundierte Kenntnisse moderner Architekturkonzepte und Designmuster.
• Hands-on Programmierung, ideal in C#/.NET.
• Erfahrung mit APIs, Datenbanken, CI/CD.
• Qualität, analytische und lösungsorientierte Arbeitsweise.
• Gute Deutsch- und Englischkenntnisse.

Aufgaben

• Entwurf und Weiterentwicklung skalierbarer, wartbarer Softwarearchitekturen.
• Aktive Mitentwicklung von Software, inklusive Design und Implementierung.
• Definition und Durchsetzung architektonischer Prinzipien, Standards und Richtlinien.
• Technische Verantwortung für Architekturentscheidungen über den gesamten Lebenszyklus.
• Auswahl und Bewertung geeigneter Technologien, Frameworks und Konzepte.
• Enge Zusammenarbeit mit Entwicklern, Product Owners und Stakeholders.
• Code- und Architekturreviews durchführen und Risiken identifizieren.
• Sicherstellung von Qualität, Performance, Sicherheit und Wartbarkeit.

Job Description

• Design and further development of scalable and maintainable software architectures
• Active contribution to software development, including the design and implementation of sophisticated software components
• Definition and enforcement of architectural principles, technical standards, and guidelines
• Technical responsibility for architectural decisions throughout the entire software lifecycle
• Selection and evaluation of suitable technologies, frameworks, and architectural concepts
• Close collaboration with software developers, Product Owners, and other technical stakeholders
• Conducting code and architecture reviews as well as identifying technical risks and opportunities for optimization
• Ensuring software quality, performance, security, and long‑term maintainability
• Supporting development teams with complex technical challenges and sharing technical expertise

Qualifications

• University degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a comparable qualification
• Several years of professional experience in software development as well as software design and/or software architecture
• Strong knowledge of modern architectural concepts, design patterns, and software engineering principles
• Strong hands‑on programming skills, ideally in C#/.NET
• Experience in designing and implementing complex software solutions
• Experience with modern development processes, APIs, databases, and CI/CD
• Strong commitment to quality as well as an analytical and solution‑oriented approach
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with a strong interest in developing technical solutions collaboratively
• Very good written and spoken German and English

We offer a fair and market‑aligned salary based on the collective agreement for employees in the metal trade – adjusted to the regional conditions of the Styrian labor market. The minimum gross monthly salary for this position is € 4.500 (based on full‑time employment). What truly counts for us are your personality, your skills, and the experience you bring.
