Zusammenfassung

Roche is seeking a QA Mobile Automation Engineer - Freelancer to architect a scalable mobile test automation framework for iOS and Android within a global team (India, Austria, Spain). You will shape the future quality strategy, integrate tests into CI/CD, and ensure high standards for health-related software.

You will work with developers, designers, product owners, and QA engineers to drive testability, troubleshoot failures, and deliver reliable releases in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent.
• 6–9 years of experience in software QA, with at least 3+ years in mobile automation.
• Hands-on experience with automation tools such as Appium, Espresso, UIAutomator2, XCUITest, and frameworks like TestNG or JUnit.
• Experience with scripting/programming languages such as Java, Kotlin, Swift, or JavaScript.
• Proficiency in test management tools (JIRA, Confluence, TestRail) and version control systems (GitHub).
• Exposure to backend/API testing using tools like Postman, JMeter, Katalon,Charles Proxy or similar.
• Solid understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Strong communication skills and professional working proficiency in English.
• Experience leveraging AI tools to accelerate test automation while maintaining high standards for quality, reliability, and user safety.

Aufgaben

• Architect and implement a scalable, reusable test automation framework for iOS and Android mobile apps.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of test strategies, automation frameworks, and QA processes.
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to define acceptance criteria and drive testability.
• Analyze and troubleshoot test failures and defects, reproduce bugs and provide detailed reports.
• Own and drive the strategy to increase test automation coverage and reduce manual testing efforts.
• Advocate to ensure that we ship safe applications meeting high standards.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions) for frequent releases.
• Mentor and collaborate with other QA engineers and developers to share best practices.
