Roche Vienna is seeking a Senior Backend QA Engineer to strengthen our core capabilities in API testing, microservices automation, and internal tooling. You will collaborate with global teams to ensure our platforms meet highest standards of reliability and security.

As a freelancer, you’ll design robust automation frameworks for REST APIs, leverage AI tools to generate test data, and drive end-to-end data integrity across distributed systems in a cloud-native CI/CD environment.

Qualifikationen

• 6–9 years in software QA, backend systems and distributed services.
• Experience API test development and framework design with Java.
• Strong SQL and data validation skills.
• Experience with AI-powered dev/test tools to accelerate testing.
• Proven performance and stress testing with JMeter, k6, or Gatling.
• Proficient in Git, CI/CD (Jenkins/GitHub Actions/GitLab), and Jira/Confluence.
• English professional working proficiency.

• Analyze and debug complex distributed system issues.
