Zusammenfassung

ams OSRAM's LSP – Light Sensors & Photonics, one of three business units within ams OSRAM, is seeking a Project Manager to lead technology development projects from feasibility to industrialization.

You will coordinate cross-functional teams, identify risks, and ensure milestones, budget, and specifications are met, leveraging PMI practices and strong communication in English; German is a plus.

Qualifikationen

• B.Sc. or M.Sc. in electrical engineering or equivalent studies
• 5+ years of professional experience in the semiconductor industry (advantage)
• 2+ years of experience in project management (PMI certification is advantage)
• Strong organizational and team-building abilities
• Excellent problem-solving and coordination/communication skills
• Fluent in English; German language skills are a plus

Aufgaben

• End-to-end project management for technology developments
• Develop project plans with the core team, checking resources, R&D CAPEX, lead-times and dependencies
• Identify and mitigate risks that may arise during a project
• Drive efficient execution and minimize complexity across project phases
• Coordinate the team daily and ensure milestones/budget/spec targets
• Lead problem resolution and manage changes during the project
• Track and report progress using amsOSRAM standards

We are LSP – Light Sensors & Photonics, one of three business units within ams OSRAM, advancing the digitalization of light. At LSP, we go beyond traditional sensing—combining light, silicon, and system expertise to enable digital photonics solutions. • End-to-end project management for technology developments: technology feasibilities as well as full technology development and industrialization are in scope
• Develop project plans with the Project core team, checking for resourcing requirements, logistical constraints, R&D CAPEX requirements, lead-times and other dependencies, covering the entire development lifecycle, from Project Start to Project Close
• Guide the identification of risks that may arise during a project, develops effective and efficient risk response measures
• Challenge all project contributors on all their estimates and deliverables in the pursuit of achieving R&D excellence. Work on the minimization of complexity in all project phases to foster focused project execution and efficient resource usage
• Coordinate the team in the daily business and ensures that all tasks are delegated efficiently according to the responsibilities of the project members. Drive project execution and coordinating activities of various teams in accordance with ams OSRAM I2T/I2P development process ensuring that projects reach each milestone/gate on time, on budget and on spec
• Lead problem resolution and seeking alternative paths when faced with setbacks. Coordinate upcoming changes during the project while taking qualitative and quantitative impacts into account
• Track and report project progress using amsOSRAM project management standards, escalating issues to management when necessary

• B.Sc. or M.Sc. in electrical engineering or equivalent studies
• 5+ years of professional experience (semiconductor industry experience is an advantage)
• 2+ years of experience in project management (PMI certification is advantage)
• Strong organizational and team building abilities
• Excellent problem-solving skills combined with good coordination and communication abilities
• Proficiency in English, both verbal and written; German is an advantage
