Job summary

DL Remote seeks a Senior Platform Architect in Austria to design resilient backend systems, APIs, and scalable infrastructure for a growing IoT/SaaS product. You’ll own technical architecture, drive API design, and guide DevOps practices while shaping the Platform Team from day one.

Hybrid remote from Klagenfurt with occasional travel to Graz HQ; relocation costs covered. Competitive salary up to 90k€ and strong professional development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Multi-year track record as Senior Backend or Full-Stack developer in a product-focused environment.
• Deep expertise in object-oriented languages like Java, C#/.NET, or Python.
• Demonstrated background in system architecture with ownership of built systems.
• Strong experience designing APIs, microservices, and distributed architectures.
• Solid knowledge of containerization, CI/CD, and modern DevOps workflows.
• Excellent written and verbal English.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop resilient backend systems and API endpoints for our central platform.
• Define and substantiate technical architecture and design choices for upcoming system modules.
• Regularly improve, scale up, and tune current services alongside the core platform infrastructure.
• Integrate fresh functionalities into our proven legacy system utilizing neat and structured interfaces.
• Assume full technical responsibility for operational performance, reliability, and deployment processes in production.
• Serve as a key technical advisor in our growing Platform Team, guiding technical frameworks and methodologies from the very beginning.
