Infineon Technologies AG in Austria’s Villach region seeks a Principal Engineer for Automotive High-Voltage Discrete SiC Power Products. You will oversee one of the world’s largest HV SiC portfolios, acting as an application engineer focused on OBC/DC-DC systems, AUX drives, and non-inverter HV loads.

You will lead concept evaluation, define requirements, interface with lead customers, and coach team members while driving IP and technical innovation.

Qualifikationen

• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Electronics, Physics or related field.
• 7+ years hands-on experience in power electronics design, development, and testing.
• Expertise in High-Voltage SiC discrete devices and packaging.
• Experience with 8D problem-solving methodology.
• Strong leadership and customer-facing skills.
• Excellent English communication and presentation skills.

Aufgaben

• Identify and evaluate new system concepts and topologies for SiC technologies.
• Finalize and own product requirements from customers and internal networks.
• Define optimal product concepts with concept engineers.
• Serve as primary technical interface for lead customers during early sampling.
• Promote new products with clear value propositions.
• Assess RfI/RfQ, select best-fitting product and address requirements.
• Develop and deliver technical presentations, talks and trainings.
• Apply 8D problem-solving and collaborate across teams.
• Act as technical expert lead and mentor team members.
• Contribute to IP generation and technical innovation.
