Job summary

Merck Gruppe - MSD Sharp & Dohme in Vienna seeks a Senior Financial Planning Analyst to lead FP&A for the Human Health business in Austria. You will translate financial performance into actionable insights, partnering with brand teams and regional FP&A to drive forecasting, budgeting and strategic analysis.

The role requires 5+ years in FP&A or related finance, strong Excel and SAP/BPC skills, and fluency in English (German advantageous). Hybrid work and attractive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting or related field.
• 5+ years FP&A, controlling or business finance experience.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with accounting knowledge.
• Experience in multinational/matrix setups; pharma experience an advantage.
• Advanced Excel and Microsoft 365; SAP/BPC advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Support monthly, quarterly and annual sales and expense forecasting and budgeting for Human Health Austria.
• Coordinate inputs across units, including risks, opportunities and phasing.
• Deliver management reporting and explain drivers vs budget/forecast.
• Prepare scenario and ad hoc analyses for decision-making.
• Act as finance partner for assigned units and departments.
• Coordinate with brand managers and regional FP&A teams for alignment.
