Job summary

SOS Children's Villages is seeking a Finance & Controlling Advisor (Humanitarian Action) to lead budgeting, forecasting and financial monitoring across multiple NOs and partners. The role supports sound financial management of the humanitarian portfolio and develops tools for timely reporting and donor compliance.

The ideal candidate has 5-8 years in finance operations, international experience, and fluency in English; willingness to travel up to 20%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or Economics.
• Professional certification (CPA/ACCA/CMA) is an advantage.
• 5-8 years in finance operations with international/humanitarian context ideal.
• Willingness to travel internationally up to 20% of the time.
• Excellent command of English; knowledge of additional languages preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support budgeting and forecasting for humanitarian interventions.
• Monitor and report on financial performance and variances.
• Develop and maintain financial management tools and templates.
• Consolidate financial data for management decision-making.
• Provide capacity building and coaching on financial policies and tools.
• Coordinate funding transfers and ensure donor compliance.
• Collaborate with Finance & Controlling teams and field offices.
