Job summary

SOS Children’s Villages is seeking a Chief Programme Officer (CPO) to lead the IDS and related functions. The role focuses on enabling and strengthening programme impact across the federation, ensuring contract-based services meet standards, and overseeing knowledge management to scale humanitarian programming.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or equivalent with senior leadership experience in INGO/ICSOs.
• Minimum 10 years progressive leadership in international development/humanitarian work.
• Experience leading multi-country programs and diverse teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead and strengthen programme impact across the SOS CVI federation.
• Oversee knowledge management, innovation, and evidence to scale programming.
• Direct contract-based services, ensuring minimum standards are met across members.
• Lead humanitarian strategy and coordinate emergency responses.
• Oversee governance, safeguarding, and risk management across CVI operations.
