Zusammenfassung

Dynatrace seeks an experienced Cloud Engineer focused on Application Networking to strengthen our Kubernetes-based platform. You will design Istio service mesh policies, automate certificate lifecycles, and secure internal and external traffic at scale.

Responsibilities include deploying networking components, enforcing mTLS, migrating to Ambient Mesh, and managing DNS and PKI across cloud providers. Collaboration with platform and product teams enables reliable, observable connectivity.

Qualifikationen

• Deep knowledge of Kubernetes networking and microservice architecture.
• Hands-on experience with Istio service mesh, service-to-service policies, and traffic management.
• Experience with certificate management and DNS management.
• Familiarity with CI/CD and GitOps workflows.

Aufgaben

• Deploy, operate, and maintain core application networking components on Kubernetes (Istio, LoadBalancer, External-DNS, cert-manager).
• Design and enforce mTLS policies and traffic management rules within the service mesh.
• Migrate workloads from Istio sidecar to Ambient Mesh mode.
• Automate DNS record lifecycle across cloud providers using External-DNS.
• Own certificate lifecycle management and PKI integration via cert-manager.
• Configure and maintain application load balancing using Gateway API and ingress solutions.
• Automate deployments using CI/CD and GitOps (ArgoCD, ArgoWF, Jenkins).
• Collaborate with platform and product teams to ensure secure, reliable service-to-service communication.
• Work with AWS, Azure, and GCP for resilient networking across environments.
• Troubleshoot and resolve networking and connectivity incidents.
• Improve monitoring and observability for mesh and networking components.
