Valneva is seeking a Sample Management Expert (m/f/d) to join our Quality Control team in Austria. You will coordinate samples, stability activities and GMP documentation, liaising with clients, OMCLs and external testing laboratories.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in a scientific field, knowledge of GMP/GxP, strong organizational skills and fluent German and English. You will support equipment qualification and provide back-up during shutdowns.

• Good communication skills and ability to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
• Fluent in German and English, written and spoken.

Aufgaben

• Coordinate incoming client and OMCL samples, testing schedules, documentation and stakeholder communication.
• Manage in-house stability samples and testing schedules.
• Oversee reference and retention samples with inventories and documentation.
• Coordinate activities with external testing laboratories and documentation.
• Prepare, review and maintain GMP/GxP documentation.
• Ensure accurate sample tracking throughout the lifecycle and improve processes.
• Support Lab Support Team with equipment-related activities and storage overviews.
• Assist with equipment qualification and lifecycle management.
• Provide back-up during annual shutdown activities.
• Collaborate with stakeholders for smooth, compliant laboratory operations.

In this role, you will be responsible for the efficient management and coordination of samples, stability activities, and related documentation within a GMP-regulated environment. You will work closely with internal departments, clients, and external testing laboratories.

Your Responsibilities

Sample Management

• Manage and coordinateincoming client and OMCL samples, including testing schedules, documentation, and communication with relevant stakeholders
• Managein-house stability samples, including maintaining documented overviews and coordinating internal and external testing schedules
• Overseereference and retention samples, including maintaining documented inventories and coordinating and documenting visual examinations
• Coordinate activities withexternal testing laboratories, including timelines, agreements, and required documentation
• Prepare, review, and maintainGxP-relevant documentationin accordance with GMP requirements
• Ensure accurate and timelysample tracking and documentationthroughout the sample lifecycle
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of sample management processes and workflows

Laboratory Support

• Support theLab Support Team with equipment-related activitiesas required, including the generation and maintenance of overviews for storage space
• Supportequipment qualification and lifecycle management activities
• Providesupport and back-up during annual shutdown activities
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure smooth and compliant laboratory operations

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualificationin a relevant scientific field

Minimum Annual Salary:EUR 40,000 gross per year. The actual salary offered will be determined based on the candidate’s qualifications, professional experience, and skills, with a willingness to overpay the applicable minimum salary.
