Job summary

Valneva, a global biotech company in Austria, seeks a Technical Assistant (m/f/d) to join the Quality Control team in a GMP-regulated environment. You will support scientific teams through efficient coordination and administration.

The role requires experience with HPLC, ELISA, qPCR and cell-based assays, fluency in English, and strong documentation skills. You will work in a collaborative, international setting with flat hierarchies and regular events.

Qualifications

• HTL/technical degree or higher in a scientific field.
• Experience with analytical methods: HPLC, ELISA, qPCR.
• GMP-regulated lab experience is a plus.
• Strong documentation skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Fluent written/spoken English.
• Proficiency in MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Examination of release and stability samples using analytical methods.
• Ensuring SOP compliance and reviewing data.
• Documenting, reporting and reviewing results timely.
• Cultivation of eukaryotic cells and cell-based assays.
• Preparation, revision and review of GMP documents.
• Active participation in laboratory investigations including documentation.
• Maintaining and supervising laboratory equipment, including qualification, cleaning, calibration and maintenance.

We are looking for a Technical Assistant (m/f/d) to join our Quality Control team. The position is ideal for a highly organized individual who enjoys working in a GMP-regulated environment and supporting scientific teams through efficient coordination and administration.

Responsibilities

• Examination of release and stability samples for market products using various analytical methods (ELISA, HPLC, UV/VIS spectrophotometry, cell-based assays, IC-POES etc.)
• Ensuring compliance with SOPs and review of analytical data
• Document, report, and review experimental results accurately and in a timely manner.
• Cultivation of eukaryotic cells and performance of cell-based assays
• Preparation, revision and review of GMP-relevant documents (e.g. standard operating procedures, deviations, changes, etc.)
• Active participation in laboratory investigations including documentation
• Taking responsibility for laboratory equipment including its qualification and supervision of regular cleaning, calibration and maintenance

• HTL, Technical degree (e.g., MTA, BTA, CTA), Bachelor or Master Degree in a relevant scientific field or equivalent qualification
• Experience in analytical methods such as HPLC, ELISA, qPCR and cell-based assays
• Experience in a laboratory environment, preferably in a GMP-regulated industry is a plus
• Experience with maintenance and upkeep of laboratory equipment and willingness to work under BSL-3 conditions
• Detail-oriented with excellent documentation skills
• Ability to work independently as well as in a collaborative setting.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and willingness to take on new challenges
• Fluent in written and spoken English
• Proficient in MS Office applications (Word, Excel)
• Strong team player with good communication and organizational skills

Due to legal reasons we are obliged to disclose the minimum salary for this position, which is € 36.400 gross per year based on full-time employment. However, our salaries are market oriented and in line with your qualifications and experience.
