Job summary

Scantox Neuro GmbH in Grambach near Graz is seeking a Research Assistant for Operations and Tissue Sampling in Laboratory Rodents. The role is full-time (40 hours) at location Grambach, offering opportunities to work on cutting-edge neurodegenerative disease research.

You will independently perform tissue sampling in mice and rats, conduct surgeries, and help create or revise SOPs. Training and equipment responsibility are part of the position, with a focus on quality and precise experiment

Qualifications

• Completed training, ideally in veterinary medicine or natural sciences (biology, pharmacy, etc.).
• Independent, structured and precise way of working.
• High sense of responsibility and understanding of quality.
• Team spirit and flexibility in everyday work.
• Ability to implement test protocols precisely and document experiments.
• Confident handling of MS Office and other common computer applications.
• Good knowledge of German and English, both written and spoken.
• Interest in scientific research and willingness to continuously learn.

Responsibilities

• Independent performance of complex tissue sampling in mice and rats.
• Performing surgeries, e.g. stereotactic injections in mice and rats.
• Creation and revision of new or existing SOPs.
• Assumption of training and equipment responsibility.
