ISTA invites applications for a laboratory support role in Klosterneuburg, near Vienna. The successful candidate will assist with animal care (frogs), tank maintenance, feeding, health checks and data management, enabling smooth operations in a dynamic research group.

The position offers collaboration with students, postdocs and technicians in an international team and requires biology training, organizational skills, and good English.

Competenze

• Completed studies in biology (e.g. MTA, BSC or above).
• Experience with animal care is necessary; experience with aquatic species is a plus.
• A background in molecular biology, cell biology, genetics or neuroscience is advantageous but not required.
• Have a good knowledge and proficiency of English (Institute language: English).
• Strong organizational skills, reliability and a sense of responsibility.
• Enjoy working in an international team.

Mansioni

• Organize laboratory operations: animal care (primarily frog) including tank changes and feeding, health monitoring, shipping/receiving animals and managing an animal database.
• Be part of an interactive group of students, postdocs, and technicians with diverse backgrounds.
