AIT Austrian Institute of Technology in Vienna is seeking a power electronics-focused researcher to develop and integrate hardware and software for BMS, inverters and energy converters. You will simulate energy flows and optimize performance, publish findings, and contribute to industry partnerships.

Qualifikationen

• Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering and/or Technical Physics.
• Deep knowledge of Power Electronics, Electric Drives and Battery Storage.
• Experience in BMS development and algorithms.
• Several years in EV or battery storage projects.
• Experience independently managing research projects.
• Proficiency in MATLAB, C++, Python, EAGLE, PSIM, LTSpice, PLECS.
• Strong communication skills in English; German is a plus.

Aufgaben

• Develop and integrate hardware/software for BMS, traction inverters and DC/DC converters.
• Simulate energy flow and optimise power electronics for efficiency and reliability.
• Write impactful scientific publications and present at conferences.
• Contribute to industry-partner prototypes and novel methods.
• Provide input for new strategic research ideas.
