Partner Company is seeking a Linux Platform Integration - Ubuntu Senior Engineer to optimize Ubuntu across IoT, desktop, and server platforms. You will design integrations, work with partners, and lead architectural discussions spanning cloud, edge, devices, and enterprise infrastructure.

This role emphasizes open-source collaboration, multi-team coordination, and hands-on development in Python, C, and C++. Remote-friendly with occasional travel for in-person events.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, STEM, or related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience with Linux packaging technologies such as Debian, RPM, or Yocto.
• Strong programming experience with Python, C, and C++.
• Solid understanding of Linux systems and ability to work across multiple layers of the tech stack.
• Experience with open-source communities and licensing models.

Aufgaben

• Design and implement optimized Ubuntu integrations for IoT, desktop, and server-class hardware.
• Work with technology partners to deliver high-quality Ubuntu experiences.
• Lead technical plans, testing strategies, and architecture for platform integration.
• Act as a technical lead on customer engagements spanning cloud, edge, hardware, OS, and apps.
• Help integrate applications/SDKs and build device OS images.
