Jobgether on behalf of a partner company seeks a Lead Linux Kernel Engineer, Ubuntu-based in Switzerland. This senior role shapes architecture, development, and delivery of a large-scale Linux kernel platform.

You will lead initiatives across kernel performance, security, packaging, and hardware enablement, coordinating with silicon and cloud partners to deliver optimized, reliable Linux systems and guiding engineers in a distributed environment.

Qualifikationen

• Demonstrated expertise in operating system kernel development and Linux systems.
• Expert-level knowledge of the C programming language.
• Experience with Unix-like kernels and distributions; Linux experience is highly valuable.
• Strong scripting skills in Python and Bash.
• Deep understanding of Git for complex development workflows.
• Experience with Ubuntu, Debian, or Snap packaging preferred.
• Proven leadership ability to influence engineers and drive projects.
• Experience with external technical engagements and customer interactions.
