Zusammenfassung

Jobgether is seeking an Infrastructure Engineer – Vulnerability, DevOps & Automation based in Austria. You will strengthen security and automation across Windows and Linux, owning vulnerability remediation and automated patching in production and non-production environments.

Collaborate with IT stakeholders to ensure systems remain secure, compliant, and highly available, while driving continuous improvement in infrastructure automation and processes.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent practical experience.
• Strong infra engineering experience for Windows Server and Linux Server environments.
• Proven DevOps practices and Git-based repositories.
• Hands-on infrastructure automation with Ansible or equivalent.
• Experience with vulnerability identification and remediation in enterprise settings.
• Experience patching Windows and Linux in large environments.
• Excellent troubleshooting with focus on security, stability and compliance.
• Practical experience with Git, VS Code, Windsurf AI, and GitHub Copilot.
• Good communication and collaboration across infra, apps, security and business teams.
• Experience with API automation and integrations (Tanium, ServiceNow, Red Hat Satellite, Splunk, Dynatrace) is a plus.

Aufgaben

• Lead and execute vulnerability remediation across Windows and Linux servers.
• Plan and support automated OS patching with minimal downtime.
• Collaborate with teams to validate systems before/after patching.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and prioritise remediation work.
• Contribute to ServiceNow change requests and maintain documentation.
• Troubleshoot patching and remediation issues affecting stability and compliance.
• Develop infrastructure automation to improve remediation efficiency and scalability.
• Share knowledge with DevOps and infra communities of practice.
• Proactively address infrastructure vulnerabilities to maintain security policies.
• Communicate patching schedules, expectations and risks to stakeholders.
• Mentor peers in vulnerability and DevOps teams; maintain tools knowledge (Confluence, Jira, Git).
