Primetals Technologies Austria GmbH in Linz seeks a Project Manager to lead ECO Solutions and Converter Steelmaking projects with end-to-end ownership from contract award to project closure. You will manage scope, schedule, budget, and risk, coordinate with international teams, and maintain clear stakeholder communication; travel to sites will be required.

Advanced knowledge in project management methods, contract law, and regulations related to project business is required.

• Advanced knowledge of engineering and business-unit-related technologies to understand technical implications
• Advanced knowledge of project management methods and tools, as well as knowledge of contract law and regulations relevant to project business

• Advanced knowledge in English and German

• You continuously monitor the project status, identify discrepancies at an early stage, and initiate mitigation measures where necessary.
• You work closely with your team, define targets, and delegate responsibilities and authority.
• You ensure compliance with valid regulations, rules and standards.
• You ensure efficient communication with all relevant stakeholders.
• You drive the project closure and ensure that all relevant information is filed and available for future projects.

What are my responsibilities?

Our department manages the execution of projects in the fields of ECO Solutions and Converter Steelmaking. We deliver excellent project management and take full ownership of projects - from contract award to project completion - with a strong focus on maximizing profitability and customer satisfaction. Our ECO Solutions portfolio provides technologies and services to reduce emissions across iron and steel production while improving energy efficiency. In Converter Steelmaking, we cover LD (BOF) and AOD converter plants, as well as the innovative SMELTER technology for significantly lower carbon emissions. As sustainable steel production becomes increasingly important, we are strengthening our team I&S PM ECO&CS (ECO Solutions & Converter Steelmaking) with a Project Manager to lead these projects with the following tasks:

What else do I need to know?

The minimum annual gross salary for this position under the collective agreement and assuming that all requirements are met is EUR 53.241,02 (F/00) bzw. EUR 62.243,30 (G/00).
