Job summary

ams OSRAM's LSP unit seeks an experienced process engineer to supervise manufacturing processes in Austria, collaborating with process engineering, RD, QA, and design teams.

You will drive process optimizations, cost reductions, and yield improvements, while transferring new technologies to production and supporting customer audits. Fluency in English is required; a Master or PhD in Physics, Chemistry or Materials Science is preferred.

Qualifications

• Master's or PhD in physics, chemistry, materials science or related field.
• Several years of experience in semiconductor manufacturing or similar industry would be advantageous.
• Excellent technical skills, preferably with 180nm or smaller technology node.
• Advanced problem solving skills (beneficial: Six Sigma).
• Ability to lead cross-functional teams and work in a collaborative environment.
• Adaptability to fast-changing environments and new processes.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and monitor manufacturing process in close teamwork with process engineering, process RD, QA, etc.
• Maintain process deliveries (e.g. FMEA, PCP, Defect Strategy) and lead cross-functional discussions.
• Optimize processes and solve process problems in collaboration with Test, Product Engineering, Design, Design Support, QA, etc.
• Evaluate and implement possible process simplifications to reduce costs and increase yield.
• Transfer new technologies/process modules from process RD into production.
• Take PI responsibility at customer audits and report data to key customers.
• Stabilize technologies by supervising lead products.

• Take PI responsibility at customer audits and for reporting requested data to key customers
