Job summary

BRP-Rotax is seeking a software and powertrain interface engineer to develop, simulate, and validate the interaction between control functions, engine, transmission, and the vehicle. You will build functional software for engines, transmissions and future hybrid powertrain systems, and model powertrain functions in Matlab/Simulink.

You will analyze software behavior on simulation platforms, HIL systems, and test benches, ensuring performance under real conditions.

Qualifications

Completed degree (FH/University) in mechanical or automotive engineering or related field.
Strong interest in powertrain systems and curiosity about transmissions, engines, and hybrids.
Understanding of vehicle dynamics, drivetrain systems, control engineering, or physical system behavior.
Experience with Matlab/Simulink, simulation environments or test bench validation is a plus.

Responsibilities

Develop functional software for the control of engines, transmissions and hybrid powertrain systems.
Model and validate powertrain functions in Matlab/Simulink and virtual environments.
Analyze software behavior on simulation platforms, HIL systems, test benches and vehicles.
Collaborate with software developers, calibration engineers and system engineers throughout development.
Contribute to ASPICE and ISO 26262 compliance in software processes.
