Job summary

BRP-Rotax in Austria hires to shape the next generation of embedded software for Rotax powertrain control systems. You’ll work from simulation to deployment on real-world products, addressing cybersecurity, functional safety, and AI.

Join an international team and contribute to multi-domain software architectures, ASPICE, ISO 26262, and AUTOSAR. Requires degree in a relevant field and strong C, C#, Python skills, plus fluent English and good German.

Qualifications

• Degree in a relevant field (computer science, software engineering, embedded systems, etc.)
• Strong embedded software development experience
• Knowledge of ASPICE, ISO 26262, and AUTOSAR is a plus
• Experience with multi-domain control units is beneficial
• Proficient in C, C#, and Python; fluent English and good German

Responsibilities

• Develop and test embedded software for Rotax powertrain control systems
• Develop automated software verification tools (SiL, PiL, and static analysis)
• Contribute to a multi-domain software architecture for next-gen control units
• Shape software development processes with regard to ASPICE, Functional Safety, and Cybersecurity
• Manage software development projects

You will play an active role in shaping the future of control units and vehicle architectures in the powersports industry, experiencing your software’s journey from the very first simulation tests to deployment in real‑world products.

• Take responsibility for the development and testing of embedded software for Rotax powertrain control systems
• Develop highly integrated tools for automated software verification, including SiL, PiL, and static code analysis
• Contribute to the design of a multi‑domain software architecture for the next generation of control units
• Help shape software development processes with regard to ASPICE, Functional Safety, and Cybersecurity
• Manage software development projects
• Contribute to the development and integration of AI‑based applications

Your Experiences And Skills

• Successfully completed a degree (University of Applied Sciences or University) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Embedded Systems, Telematics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechatronics, Automotive Engineering, or a comparable field
• Strong knowledge of embedded software development, including the design and implementation of associated development processes
• Experience with software development standards such as ASPICE, ISO 26262, and AUTOSAR is an advantage
• Knowledge of multi‑domain control units is considered a plus
• Programming skills in C, C#, and Python
• Understanding of electrical and/or combustion engine powertrain technologies is an advantage
• Very good English skills and good German language skills
• Proactive personality with a passion for powersports and innovative mobility solutions

The minimum salary for this position is EUR 54,359.06 gross/year in accordance with the collective agreement for the metal industry.
