Mercor is seeking a Safeguards Analyst / IAEA or Euratom Inspector to join a remote contract role. You will assess AI prompts and model outputs within nuclear safeguards, contributing to policy-aligned judgments.

The ideal candidate has direct inspector experience (IAEA/Euratom/SSAC), expertise in material accountancy, Additional Protocol knowledge, and strong technical writing skills to publish findings and support expert testimony.

Qualifikationen

• Experience as IAEA, Euratom, or SSAC/RSAC inspector.
• Expertise in material accountancy and MUF evaluation.
• Knowledge of Additional Protocol implementation and safeguards instrumentation.
• Strong technical writing skills with published research or expert witness experience.

Aufgaben

• Write challenging single-turn prompts in the nuclear materials domain, labeled as benign, dual-use, and adversarial.
• Evaluate AI model responses against a defined policy standard and judge correctness.
• Write reference answers, detailing correct responses and the technical reasoning behind them.
• Collaborate with experts to ensure models accurately judge misuse potential without failing routine questions.
• Provide clear, structured feedback to improve AI model performance in nuclear safeguards.
• Work independently and asynchronously to meet deadlines while enhancing AI model judgment.
