Mercor seeks a Safeguards Analyst to join our remote team as an IAEA or Euratom inspector. You will write prompts in nuclear materials, evaluate AI model responses, and draft reference answers with technical reasoning. Collaborate with experts to ensure accurate safeguard judgments and provide clear feedback to improve model performance.

Required: prior inspector experience (IAEA/Euratom/SSAC), material accountancy and MUF evaluation, Additional Protocol knowledge, and strong technical writing.

Qualifikationen

• Experience as an IAEA, Euratom, or SSAC/RSAC inspector.
• Expertise in material accountancy and MUF evaluation.
• Knowledge of Additional Protocol implementation and safeguards instrumentation.
• Strong technical writing with published research or expert witness experience.

Aufgaben

• Write challenging single-turn prompts in the nuclear materials domain, labeled as benign, dual-use, and adversarial.
• Evaluate AI model responses against a defined policy standard and judge correctness.
• Write reference answers, detailing correct responses and the technical reasoning behind them.
• Collaborate with experts to ensure models accurately judge misuse potential without failing routine questions.
• Provide clear, structured feedback to improve AI model performance in nuclear safeguards.
• Work independently and asynchronously to meet deadlines while enhancing AI model judgment.
