Prospective Instruments, a Dornbirn-based start-up, seeks a Hands-on Optical Engineer with a strong photonics background. You will work on complex optical setups, develop microscopy techniques and integrate them into multimodal multiphoton products, including FLIM, coherent Raman imaging, structured illumination, and OCT.

You will manufacture custom microscopes and subsystems, support product demonstrations, write application notes, and share feedback with R&D; travel as needed.

Qualifikationen

• MSc or PhD in a relevant field.
• Hands-on experience with light microscopy and its applications.
• Strong background in photonics, optics and ultrafast lasers.
• Proven ability to design, build and test microscopes.
• Willingness to travel and work across teams.

Aufgaben

• Develop new microscopy techniques and make them ready for industrial use.
• Manufacture custom-designed microscopes and optical subsystems.
• Conduct product demonstrations, workshops and training sessions, and provide customer support.
• Write articles, manuals and application notes on new technologies and applications.
• Share user feedback with R&D and product management teams through cross-functional collaboration.
