At MKS Instruments in Rankweil, Austria, an R&D Engineer for Laser and Optics (m/f/d) will join the photonics team within the high-power laser division. You’ll work on ultrafast pulsed lasers, focusing on system engineering after onboarding and collaborating with reliability, mechanical and product marketing teams.

You will design and conduct experiments, document optical performance, and help transfer designs to production while mentoring technicians in new measurement techniques.

Qualifikationen

• Master's degree in engineering, mechatronics, physics or related field.
• 3+ years of industry experience.
• Able to define opto-electronic measurement procedures and perform measurements.
• Fluent in English.

Aufgaben

• Execute experiments to test conceptual designs and document optical system performance.
• Use software tools to assist in design and analysis of optical systems.
• Collaborate with reliability, mechanical and electrical engineers to evaluate specifications.
• Define test strategies, build and document prototypes, measure parameters and generate design reports.
• Guide and train technicians on new measurement techniques and processes.
