Zusammenfassung

Flex is seeking a Materials Manager to manage material control, demand planning, and inventory distribution across a diverse manufacturing footprint in Europe. The role reports to the Senior Director Materials and supports site managers and customers with data-driven decisions.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent and at least five years in material/manufacturing roles, with strong negotiation and problem-solving skills. Travel is required.

• Minimum 5 years of material and manufacturing experience, including supervision.
• Strong negotiation and facilitation skills.
• Problem solving approach and data-driven decision making.
• Deep knowledge of demand processes in Baan and Kinaxis.

Aufgaben

• Develops, implements, and maintains material control policies and procedures.
• Leads demand management and governance across sites and customers.
• Oversees distribution of inventory to the production line and MRO.
• Directs staff to meet Materials P&L goals and minimize excess/obsolete stock.
• Ensures high customer satisfaction through negotiations and staff guidance.
• Travel as required.

The Materials Manager can be based in any EMEA Flex site, reporting to the Senior Director Materials.

What a Typical Day Looks Like

• Develops, implements, and maintains policies, procedures and material control systems.
• Ensures system deployment to the management process and monitoring governance in the usage and discipline.
• Audit, support and training to adherence to the activities and process for demand management.
• Coordinates with site and customers, project managers, operations managers and materials managers.
• Manages, controls, and directs the activities and staff involved in the distribution of inventory to the production line.
• Manages, controls, and directs staff to achieve Materials profit and loss goals including minimization of excess and obsolete inventory.
• Ensures a high degree of customer satisfaction through negotiations of customer expectations and managing and directing staff activities required to meet this expectation.
• Travel as required.
