The role oversees material planning, distribution, inventory control, and supply chain management, coordinating with site and customers, project managers, and operations managers to optimize material flows and inventory performance.

Qualifikationen

• Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience and training.
• Typically requires a minimum of 5 years of material and manufacturing experience, including supervision.
• Negotiations and facilitator skills.
• Problem solving approach.
• Deep knowledge in demand process in Baan and Kinaxis.

• Develops, implements, and maintains material policies, procedures and control systems.
• Coordinates with site, customers, project managers, operations managers and materials managers.
• Manages distribution of inventory to the production line and cost/control of inventory.
• Directs staff to achieve materials profit and loss goals including minimizing excess inventory.
• Ensures customer satisfaction through negotiations and staff guidance.

Job Summary

The Materials Manager can be based in any EMEA Flex site, reporting to the Senior Director Materials. The Materials Manager directs and coordinates activities of personnel engaged in some or all the following areas: material planning, distribution, inventory control, material research, purchasing and supply chain management by performing the following duties personally or through subordinates.

What a typical day looks like

• Develops, implements, and maintains policies, procedures and material control systems.
• Ensures system deployment to the management process and monitoring governance in the usage and discipline.
• Audit, support and training to adherence to the activities and process for demand management.
• Coordinates with site and customers, project managers, operations managers and materials managers.
• Manages, controls, and directs the activities and staff involved in the distribution of inventory to the production line.
• Manages, controls, and directs staff to achieve Materials profit and loss goals including minimization of excess and obsolete inventory.
• Ensures a high degree of customer satisfaction through negotiations of customer expectations and managing and directing staff activities required to meet this expectation.
• Travel as required.
