HUBER+SUHNER in Austria seeks an experienced R&D engineer to develop and evaluate innovative antenna concepts, balancing technical, commercial, and manufacturing considerations. You will design mechanical components and test fixtures, and collaborate with internal and external experts to drive new solutions.

The role requires several years in research and development, familiarity with materials engineering, FEM simulations, and standards, plus strong communication skills in English at B2 level.

Qualifikationen

• Engineering degree with technical specialization (Dipl.-Ing./Masters/Bachelors/ETH) or equivalent.
• Several years of professional R&D experience, including patent activities.
• Knowledge of toolmaking, materials engineering, FEM simulation, and design of experiments is an advantage.
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
• Very good English (B2) and familiarity with standards (IATF, IRIS, MIL).

Aufgaben

• Develop and evaluate innovative product concepts for antennas considering technical, commercial, and manufacturing needs.
• Design mechanical components and test fixtures; validate new solutions.
• Identify new materials, processes, and technologies with experts.
• Plan and manage advanced engineering projects from concept to implementation.
• Build prototypes and conduct proof-of-concept activities.
• Collaborate with partners and research institutions to advance innovation.
• Protect innovations by contributing to patent applications.
