PIDSO in Vienna seeks an Electronics Development Engineer to design and bring up PCB-based hardware for radar and SATCOM systems. You will work from schematic design to prototype verification, collaborating with RF, embedded software and mechanical engineers.
We welcome experienced engineers who can own end-to-end development or early-career teammates ready to grow, with flexible hours, hybrid work, and a modern Vienna workplace.
For over 15 years, PIDSO has been developing high-performance communication solutions “Made in Austria” – built for environments where failure is not an option.
Our antenna and RF systems enable reliable data transmission and signal processing in mission-critical applications across aerospace, defense, motorsport, automotive, and Industry 4.0.
We combine research, development, manufacturing, and testing under one roof. Fast, focused, and with uncompromising attention to detail.
Division: R&D
Reporting Line: Head of R&D
As an Electronics Development Engineer, you develop electronic assemblies from schematic design and component selection through PCB layout to prototype bring-up and verification.
Projects range from compact integration boards to complex FPGA/SoC-based mainboards for Radar and SATCOM systems. You will work closely with RF engineers, embedded software developers and mechanical designers to create robust, manufacturable hardware.
We are open to different levels of experience: experienced engineers can take end-to-end ownership, while motivated engineers earlier in their career will grow into that responsibility.
Experience in one or more of the following areas:
At PIDSO, you don’t just design a PCB and hand it over. You develop electronics that become part of advanced antenna, Radar and SATCOM systems — from the first design decision to a tested, manufactured product.
You’ll work hands-on with sophisticated hardware, collaborate closely with specialists across RF, embedded software and mechanical engineering, and have the opportunity to take real technical ownership. Short decision paths and direct collaboration mean your ideas and engineering decisions have a visible impact on the final product.
Real hardware. Real ownership. Engineering that goes beyond PCB layout.
For this position, the minimum salary according to the Kollektivvertrag Metallgewerbe (Verwendungsgruppe III, after 4 years) is € 3.109,21 gross per month, with a clear willingness to overpay based on your existing projects and technical skills.
