Job summary

nVent is seeking a logistics leader to guide Austria warehouse operations, staffing, and performance management in line with the annual plan. You will optimize warehousing, inventory, and FIFO, while coordinating with transportation partners to maintain service levels and OTIF.

The role requires 5+ years in warehouse/logistics, ERP experience (M3), and strong analytical and stakeholder skills. Fluency in English and German is essential; onsite work in Niederösterreich is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, or equivalent experience.
• +5 years of experience in warehouse or logistics operations, including team leadership.
• Proven ability to manage warehouse teams and drive operational performance.
• Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory management, and FIFO principles.
• Experience with ERP systems (preferably M3) and advanced Excel skills.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead Austria warehouse teams (shift planning, onboarding, training, performance management) and ensure safe operations, 5S, and disciplined standard work.
• Manage day-to-day execution with transportation partners (capacity, pickup performance, issue escalation), building strong carrier relationships.
• Drive daily operational control through KPI management (safety, quality, delivery, cost), identify performance gaps, and implement corrective actions.
• Own warehouses productivity and labor planning; set targets, standardize work, and track performance to improve throughput and cost per unit.
• Ensure service level, OTIF, and customer commitments are met; lead daily/weekly performance reviews and continuous improvement action plans.
• Monitors and ensures compliance with regulatory requirements related to the company’s transportation policies and practices.
