Job summary

Tecan Austria is seeking a Project Manager for Instrument Development to lead complex lab instrument and solution development projects from initiation to industrialization and lifecycle management.

You will build cross‑functional teams, coordinate across locations, and drive projects to meet time, cost, and scope targets while ensuring compliance and stakeholder alignment. English is required; travel may be involved.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's/Master's or PhD degree in technical or life science
• 5+ years of experience in Project Management, preferably instrument/solution development for Life Science and Diagnostics
• Experience in leading complex and highly regulated product development projects
• Value, team, target and solution oriented
• Self‑dependent, independent, efficient and reliable
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• English required; German is a plus. Willingness to travel.

Responsibilities

• Define and build a winning project team with the required cross‑functional skill mix and a solution‑oriented mindset
• Coordination of team members across multiple locations
• Planning, staffing and structuring of projects including interfaces to related projects and organizational units
• Manage all activities to achieve the overall project targets (time, cost, scope)
• Through leadership and methodological competence, ensure efficient implementation and adherence to processes, guidelines, and regulations
• Ensure proactive and proper stakeholder management and communication to all levels of the organization
• Demonstrate leadership towards the team and all management levels
• Proactively anticipate, identify, mitigate risks, and resolve conflicts in the project team and with stakeholders.
