Job summary

Tecan Austria is seeking a Project Manager for Instrument Development to lead complex lab instrument and solution development projects from initiation to industrialization and lifecycle management.

You will build cross‑functional teams, coordinate across locations, and drive projects to meet time, cost, and scope targets while ensuring compliance and stakeholder alignment. English is required; travel may be involved.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's/Master's or PhD degree in technical or life science
  • 5+ years of experience in Project Management, preferably instrument/solution development for Life Science and Diagnostics
  • Experience in leading complex and highly regulated product development projects
  • Value, team, target and solution oriented
  • Self‑dependent, independent, efficient and reliable
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • English required; German is a plus. Willingness to travel.

Your contribution

In this strategic role, you will lead complex laboratory instrument and solution development projects for Life Science and Diagnostics – from Project Initiation to Industrialization, Market Launch and Lifecylce Management.

Due to the Austrian Equal Treatment Act, we are obliged to state the minimum monthly salary of EUR 4.819,51 (classification according to the collective agreement of the electrical and electronics industry based on full-time 38.5 hours/week) as a basis for negotiation. A significant overpayment is envisaged depending on training, qualifications, and experience.
