aja Resorts Werfenweng/Salzburg is seeking a junior sous-chef to support the head chef and lead kitchen operations at our Werfenweng mountain resort. You will oversee daily kitchen tasks, assist in menu planning, and ensure high standards of food quality and hygiene across all service levels.

Qualifications

• Completed vocational training or a hotel management college qualification.
• Experience in a similar role or readiness to step up.

Responsibilities

• Deputise for the sous-chef and head chef in their absence; organise daily kitchen operations.
• Independently manage a station and support the team across stations as required.
• Prepare and plate dishes for à la carte, set menus, buffets and banquets.
• Monitor and enforce HACCP, food safety, hygiene and quality requirements.
• Contribute to menu creation, daily specials and seasonal offerings.
• Monitor food costs, perform stock-takes and ensure proper storage of food.
• Train, guide and motivate new staff.

Your contribution to your guests’ enjoyment

• Acting as deputy to the sous-chef and head chef in their absence; organising daily kitchen operations
• Independently managing a station in the kitchen and supporting the team across all stations as required
