About the Role

Our client, a rapidly growing recruitment consultancy, is looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Junior IT Recruiter to join their fully remote team. This role is an excellent opportunity for an individual with a passion for technology and people to kick-start or advance their career in recruitment. You will be responsible for supporting the recruitment process for various IT roles, working closely with senior recruiters and hiring managers. As this is a remote-first position, you can work from anywhere within **South Africa**, with **Queenstown, Eastern Cape, ZA**, serving as a reference point for our Eastern Cape presence. You will gain hands‑on experience in sourcing candidates, conducting initial screenings, scheduling interviews, and managing candidate communications. Key Responsibilities

• Assist senior recruiters in sourcing and identifying potential candidates for various IT positions (e.g., Help Desk, Junior Developer, IT Support).
• Utilize job boards, social media platforms, and the company database to find suitable candidates.
• Conduct initial phone screenings to assess candidate interest, basic qualifications, and availability.
• Schedule interviews between candidates and hiring managers, ensuring all necessary information is provided.
• Maintain candidate records and update the Applicant Tracking System (ATS) with accurate information.
• Communicate professionally with candidates throughout the recruitment process, providing updates and answering queries.
• Learn and apply effective recruitment techniques and best practices.
• Support the team with administrative tasks related to recruitment as needed.
• Contribute to building talent pools for future opportunities.

Requirements

• Previous experience in recruitment, HR, or a related customer‑facing role is a plus, but not strictly required.
• A strong interest in technology and the IT industry.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage professionally with diverse individuals.
